Jail-Break Challenge 2019 was one to remember.  The rain kept the temperatures down a little, but the wet course was very challenging.  We would like to thank all the athletes, volunteers, sponsors, and our title sponsor, Gwinnett Medical Center - Sports Medicine, for helping make this year’s event another huge success!

We hope to see you all again in 2020!

Explanation of Classes

Competitive - Are you the most extreme athlete on the planet?  This is your chance to PROVE IT!  Runners compete as individuals in a timed event around the 5k course.  Runners must complete each obstacle to be eligible for Individual Awards.  First wave begins as 8:00 AM, with a second wave starting at 8:15 AM.  There are limited slots for this class, so early registration is highly recommended.  Age group awards for Male & Female runners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in 5-year segmented age groups.

Team Competitive - Teams of 4 will assault the course to prove who is the best at combining their individual skills to get through the course the quickest.  Each member of the team MUST complete each obstacle, and the team MUST finish together…”No man left behind.”  The Team Competitive wave begins at 08:30 AM.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for two categories: Competitive Teams and Public Safety Teams.

Open - Want the chance to test your abilities without the pressure of  competing against the runner next to you?  This is the class for you.  Runners will get to navigate the course and attempt the obstacles while evaluating their own abilities.  There will be no shame in passing an obstacle…just come out and have fun!  First wave of the Open class is scheduled for 9:00 AM, with two additional waves at 9:15 AM and 9:30 AM.

Minimum age of 14 required.
